Hello, I’m Lili. I decided to start a blog about my personal journey with back pain so that I could gain strength by sharing my experiences and hopefully give you strength in the process by realizing that you are not alone! It all started 2 years ago when I had a specially physical day at work packing, lifting, and moving boxes. That night I was in excruciating pain and was barely able to walk. That day marked my worse back episode and started a chain of events that led me to surgery. I had a TLIF of L5-S1 on April 26, 2011. It was the best decision I ever made but it wasn’t an easy one. I tried many different other options first and did a lot of research to finally come to the conclusion that I was the perfect candidate for surgery and that it was time! It is now 3 months from surgery day and I am finally mentally ready to reach the outside world but am not physically capable just yet to get out there and work. So here I am, sharing my story with you so that we can all learn from each others’ experiences and most of all grow strong like a bamboo shoot!
